Alden Millard is the Partner Chair of the Executive Committee at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York, where he has been a pivotal figure since 1996. Specializing in acquisition finance, banking and credit, corporate, and investment grade finance, Alden is highly regarded for his expertise in representing leading leveraged buyout sponsors and their portfolio companies. His notable work includes complex financings for The Blackstone Group and First Reserve Corporation, such as Blackstone's $5 billion acquisition of The Chamberlain Group and the $20 billion partnership with Thomson Reuters. Alden earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School and an A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University, and is admitted to practice in New York.
