Alden Millard is a Partner and Chair of the Executive Committee at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. Specializing in acquisition finance, banking and credit, corporate, and investment grade finance, Alden represents leading leveraged buyout sponsors and their portfolio companies. His notable clients include The Blackstone Group and First Reserve Corporation. Alden has been instrumental in significant financings, such as Blackstone's $5 billion acquisition of The Chamberlain Group and the $20 billion partnership with Thomson Reuters. He also played a key role in the financing for The E.W. Scripps Company's acquisition of ION Media. Alden joined Simpson Thacher in 1996 after earning his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University.
