Mathieu Remy is the Managing Partner of Clifford Chance's Paris office, a position he has held since 2020. With a distinguished career that began at Shearman & Sterling, where he became a partner in 2006, Mathieu joined Clifford Chance as a Partner in 2011. He specializes in domestic and cross-border public and private M&A, joint ventures, and private equity. Mathieu is the co-head of the OHADA zone and Francophone West and Central Africa group, as well as the French-German group. His extensive experience includes advising major French financial institutions and a diverse range of corporations in sectors such as consumer goods & retail, media, energy, and telecoms. Mathieu holds a Magistere DESS-DJCE from University Panthéon-Assas and an LLM from Columbia University.
