Asher A. Qazi is a partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis, specializing in capital markets. Asher advises public and private company and sponsor clients on debt and equity offerings, securities and stock exchange rules, and corporate governance issues. Before joining Kirkland, Asher completed his doctorate at the University of Chicago Law School, focusing on judicial behavior. His previous experience includes working as a corporate attorney in Pakistan, concentrating on debt finance and public-private partnerships, and serving as a law clerk to Honorable Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, the former Chief Justice of Pakistan.
