Kirkland & Ellis advises Advantage Partners on $92 million sale to Pinnacle Investment Management

Pinnacle Investment Management Group is a global multi-affiliate investment management firm that provides specialist investment managers with global distribution, fund infrastructure and support services, while Advantage Partners is described as Japan's largest independent, locally grown diversified private markets platform.
The transaction is a strategic investment by Pinnacle in Advantage Partners and also includes distribution services arrangements covering global distribution of Advantage Partners' strategies.
For Pinnacle, the deal is intended to deepen its presence and participation in Japan and supports its strategy of international diversification and greater exposure to global private assets, particularly the mid-market segment.

Advantage Partners is a private markets investment platform focused primarily on Japan and Asia, investing across Japan buyout, Asia buyout, private solutions and renewable energy and sustainability strategies.
Pinnacle has agreed to buy a 5% minority stake in Advantage Partners and also secured an option to acquire additional shares in the future.
The transaction is targeted to close by January 2026.
