Grant Thornton Advisors LLC is the US-based tax and advisory arm of Grant Thornton, operating in an alternative practice structure alongside Grant Thornton LLP, the licensed CPA firm that provides attest services.
Founded in 1924, it is the US member of the Grant Thornton International Ltd network and ranks among the largest US audit, tax and advisory platforms by revenue, with offices across the country.

Since January 2025, Grant Thornton Advisors has pursued an aggressive multinational platform strategy, acquiring Grant Thornton member firms across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and Asia-Pacific (including Ireland, the UAE, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands, the Channel Islands, Switzerland/Liechtenstein, France, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Puerto Rico, Brazil and New Zealand), alongside specialist US firms Auxis and Stax.
The Denmark transaction brought the platform to 18 firms worldwide, ten of them in Europe.
New Mountain Capital is a New York–based growth-oriented investment firm with roughly $55bn in assets under management; Simpson Thacher has advised Grant Thornton Advisors and New Mountain on every transaction in the platform build.
